Why Camera Traps? Camera trapping is an efficient method to monitor wildlife in many habitats, especially urban areas. Wild animals can be incredibly shy, especially near people, and alter their movement patterns to avoid detection. We can observe how animals move and behave without bothering them by placing motion-triggered cameras near trails and streams.
What happens if you take my picture? Our goal is to document wildlife as they move through our city parks and open spaces – we try very hard to avoid it but sometimes we also capture photos of people. When we do take pictures of people or pets we immediately delete the images from the SD card and do not save, upload, or the store images in any way.
